Ich kenne Hermann Maurer nicht persönlich, aber als Kind habe ich einen kleinen MUPID-Computer verwendet, den er und sein Team entwickelt haben (dies wird auch im Buch beschrieben). Also war ich neugierig, ein bisschen über ihn zu lesen. Ich fand das Buch überraschend einfach zu lesen und ziemlich interessant, wobei ich Teile eines eher ungewöhnlichen Lebens verfolgt und etwas über entfernte Länder und ein wenig über technologische Entwicklungen gelernt habe. 

Trotzdem fand ich die für das Buch verwendete Technologie noch interessanter als den Inhalt des Buches. Die Tatsache, dass man Kommentare hinzufügen, Fragen stellen oder Diskussionen beginnen kann und wenn man sich die Handbücher ansieht es deutlich wird, dass das System noch mehr Funktionen bietet als man am ersten Blick sieht. Es ist klar, dass H. (wie Maurer konsequent genannt wird) das NID-System nicht selbst entwickelt hat, sondern in erster Linie für die Grundideen verantwortlich war. Es ist  so, dass ein ehemaligen Doktorand in Graz Bilal Zaka und sein Team die wirklichen Entwickler sind. Meine Glückwünsche gehen also nicht nur an H., sondern insbesondere an Bilals Team.

 Ich hoffe, dass das System viele Fans findet und in vielen Bibliotheken verwendet wird und die aktuellen statischen digitalen Bibliotheken durch Bibliotheken mit interaktiven Funktionen ersetzt. 

Es ist erstaunlich für mich, dass niemand über diese Möglichkeit nachgedacht hat!

Ich kenne Professor Hermann. Ein Junge im Herzen, voller Ideen, Fantasie und positiver Energie. Dieses Buch spiegelt seine spezifische und inspirierte Haltung wider. Sehr gut lesbar. Außerdem muss ich die NDL loben. Fantastisches System. Ich glaube, dass es eine bedeutende Anwendung im E-Learning haben wird.
